Her sweet and gentle personality led to the establishment of Rabbit Row, and our web site is dedicated to her. Bonnie came to us in 1991 when she was a baby, and she remains "in charge" of our main rabbit rehab and foster home.
Sydney
Lily
Although she's severely disabled and requires special care, (her spinal cord was partially crushed when she was just a few weeks old, so she has virtually no use of her hind legs), Lily hasn't let that stop her from leading a full and active life with her human "mom".
Tyson
This BIG girl was a pet shop mascot until she was evicted for biting a child who teased her. She was adopted by the same household where Lily lives, and she's become a gentle bunny who adores being held and petted...and she flirts with men!
Ralph
Typical of his breed, Ralph is a gentle giant. His new family told us he's a wonderful family pet who loves snuggling with children. In the photo you can see Ralph's favorite toy...a whisk. He carries it everywhere he goes!
He was abandoned inside a box in a shopping cart, but someone found him and brought him to us. We don't know if his injuries were human or animal-caused, but he became one of the first beneficiaries of our Rabbit Medical Program. He made a miraculous recovery---his torn ear is the only permanent damage---and he lives here in Alameda with another bunny and a cat.
Pepper
Pepper and Oreo are now buddies
Izzy &Petey
Petey was only a couple of months old when he was found at Crown Beach and brought to our shelter by a kind person. He had a severely broken hind leg, but after being treated by Dr. Jen Dalmasso and her staff (including spending 6 weeks in a leg splint), some physical therapy, and some time recuperating in a foster home, he was adopted by his "foster mom". Even though he'll always hop with a limp, that doesn't stop him from playing and snuggling with his new best friend, Izzy the cat.
